You know what it’s like. You start a new fitness or nutrition plan, your motivation carries you through for the first little while, but then it starts to wane. Let’s be honest, it’s hard to do it all by yourself, especially if you don’t have anyone to keep yourself accountable to.

The happiest people are those who engage with other people.

It’s true. As humans, we are social creatures who thrive on connections with others. And even better when those connections are with other humans who also want to live their best lives by prioritising their fitness. Interestingly, a recent report found that the risk of cancellation is 56% higher amongst gym members who just use gym equipment vs. those who exercise in group settings.

How can you get involved with a fitness community?

Luckily for you, there’s a couple of ready-made communities to join! Our Linnie Fitness Facebook page and Facebook group.

The group is a fantastic place to hang out with like-minded people who want to smash their fitness and nutrition goals as much as you do. You’ll be the first to find out new fitness group offerings and PT availability for those last-minute gains! We often post workout challenges that are fun to join, get you moving, and with that added dose of healthy competition!

Start your own fitness community

Why not start your own? This can be as simple as buddying up with a mate for a gym session or a swim. Or take it one step further and create a running group for your friends. These simple acts keep you all accountable, and make it much more likely that you’ll commit to your fitness goals.

And when you start to see positive changes, you’ll have plenty of people in your community to tell. Who will undoubtedly be as pleased as you, as they understand what it takes to be part of a fitness community.
